Ghana’s commitment to quality healthcare has reached a remarkable milestone with the graduation of the first cohort of SafeCare Assessors in Accra. This achievement, driven by the Service in collaboration with PharmAccess and SafeCare, strengthens the nation’s commitment to quality healthcare.

These 20 assessors, certified by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua), are poised to champion healthcare quality improvements across 10 regions: North East, Northern, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Oti, Volta, Western, Eastern, and Savannah.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, the Director-General of the Service stressed that quality measurement is the foundation of sustainable healthcare. Dr. Nicole Spieker, CEO of PharmAccess, commended the groundbreaking collaboration driving resilience and innovation in Ghana’s healthcare delivery.

Building on successful pilots in Bono East and Savannah, the assessors will empower health facilities to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality care, advancing Ghana toward Universal Health Coverage.

Ayekoo to the assessors and all stakeholders committed to transforming healthcare in Ghana
